Chicken Tikka masala

Marination
600 gms boneless chicken
-1/2 cup yogurt
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-1 tsp garlic minced
-1 tspginger grated
-1 tsp chilli powder
-1 tsp ground cumin
-1 tsp garam masala
-1 tspsalt
-2 tbsp oil
For tikka masala
-1 tbsp oil
-1 medium onion diced
-1 tsp garlic minced
-1 tsp ginger grated
-1 tsp chilli powder
-1 tsp coriander powder
-1 tspbgaram masala
-1 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 tbsp cream
Method
- Marinate the chicken with ingr and keep aside
-Take kadhai and add oil. Once the oil is heated add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 minutes until lightly browned. Transfer the cooked chicken pieces to a plate and keep aside.
-To the same kadhai add oil add the onion , ginger and garlic, saute for 3-5 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
-Add in chilli, coriander, garam masala, salt, and turmeric powder. Saute for a minute.
-Stir in the tomato puree and cook for a couple of minutes. Once the puree is thickened.
-Add the chicken to the kadhai along with little cream and allow the masala to simmer for 10 minutes on a low flame.
-Once the chicken is cooked add in the chopped coriander and turn off the heat.
-Serve the creamy chicken tikka masala with a bowl of rice to enjoy!
