Pyaz ki sabzi

Pyaz ki Sabzi is a delicious, easy to make Rajasthani dish. Made using baby onions, spices and curd, this spicy dish goes very well with chapati. Shallots are slit like an x and dry spices are added to it, later these shallots are cooked in onions and tomato gravy and turn into a delicious spicy dish with amazing flavours. 


Ingredients
Onion( chopped)- 2
Tomato puree- 1 cup
Curd- 1/2 cup
Shallots- 12
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-11/2 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Mustard oil- 3 tsp
Garlic chopped- 1
Red chilli green- 1

Method:

1.Slit the shallots marking x in centre. 
2. Add 3/4 tsp turmeric powder,  1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 salt ang 1/2 tsp garam masala and mix well coating the spices to shallots. Keep aside for 15 min.
3. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add chopped garlic and saute. 
4.Add onions and  chopped green chilli and saute again till onions turn golden brown.
5.Now add 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Saute on low flame till onions turn aromatic. 
6.Add tomato puree and cook well. 
7.Now add curd and cook on low flame till oil separates. 
8.Add the stuffed shallots and mix well. 
9.Add water and mix. Cover and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes till shallots soften and absorb the masala. 
10.Serve the pyaz ki sabzi  hot with roti.
