Spinach and corn vegetable ( Palak corn sabzi)
Spinach and corn is one of the favourite combinations.The sweetness of corn is well blended with the taste of spinach. This combination can be used in vegetables, quiches, baked veg and many other dishes.These two ingredients compliment each other not only in flavour but also in the looks.
Today I'm sharing the recipe of spinach and corn vegetable.
Recipe
Ingredients
Spinach- 1 bunch
Onion- 1 chopped
Tomato- 1 ( puree)
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Boiled corn - 1 1/2 cup
Salt- as per taste
Chilli- 1 tsp
Dhania pwdr- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Hing- a pinch
Kasturi methi- 1 tsp
Cream- 1/4 cup
Preparation-
1. Wash and chop the spinach leaves and boil it in an open pan without adding any water. Some water is already there as you have washed it. After 5 min your spinach will be cooked.Let it cool.
2.Blend the spinach in a blender and keep aside.
3. In a pan add butter and add cumin seeds. Then add chopped onions and saute till golden brown.Add ginger garlic paste and saute for another two minutes.
4. Add the tomatoe puree and the spices and let it cook for three to four minutes.
5.When it starts leaving sides, add spinach puree and mix.
6. Now add the boiled corn and mix it properly and let it cook for few minutes.
7.Add beated cream and kasuri methi and switch off the flame.
8.Serve hot.
